Have you thought about hiring a photographer to shoot a bridal session but still on the fence about taking the next step? Well, we are here to assuage your worries by giving you some great reasons why a bridal session is perfect for you!

A bridal session can take place days or weeks before the actual wedding day. A bridal session can also take place years after the wedding. I mean, come on - who doesn’t want the opportunity to put on their wedding attire and get a do-over of portraits?

Bridal sessions give the photographer (ME!) an opportunity to photograph the bride without any sort of pressing time constraints. Naturally, that makes for some seriously dreamy pictures., as evidenced by the photos we captured for Neema.

Neema wore the bridal Lehenga Choli that was custom made in Mumbai, India for her wedding years ago (it still fits her!!!). Lehenga is the traditional wedding dress of Indian women. The bottom portion is secured at the waist, and leaves the lower back and midriff bare. Neema's Lehenga Choli is intricately embroidered, and heavy on the details. She chose red because it is considered the most auspicious color for Indian brides.

My friend Kaitelyn of @beauty_by_kaitelyn did Neema’s hair and makeup – don’t you just love the glamorous look? Indian brides are about being bold, beautiful, and are not afraid of color! It was also nice to have Kaitelyn on hand to do touchups during the shoot! Ladies, I highly recommend hiring a hair and/or makeup artist for your photo shoot, regardless whether you want a more natural look or full on glam like Neema. Talented artists like Kaitelyn can work wonders on just about anybody, myself included!

Arizona Florations created the bridal bouquet and flower leis. The backdrop of Scorpion Gulch was perfect for this shoot since it looks almost like an abandoned castle in the photos, which paired well with Neema's royal look.
