Phanpraseuth & McLawson Families I Queen Creek, Arizona
I'm so glad the photo session with the Phanpraseuth & McLawson families happened! The forecast called for rain and we were hoping and praying that we wouldn't have to reschedule since that wasn't an option (some of the family members were visiting from Texas and Germany and had to leave within a couple of days from the session date).
The families really wanted an Arizona backdrop, and so we took our chances and trekked out to the San Tan Regional Mountain Park, all of us prepared to run from the rain and to chase the sun. Thank goodness we didn't reschedule because everything worked out in the end - we got the beautiful Arizona backdrop in most of the photos (mountains, bright blue skies, sunshine, and cacti). Towards the end of our session it started to rain, and on the drive home we spotted a double rainbow - seems like kismet, doesn't it? Also, I love Arizona during the "winter" months. I'm thankful that the beautiful weather allows my clients to still wear light clothing and sleeveless shirts/dresses!
A big thanks goes out to my boyfriend, who tagged along as my assistant and was so great at holding the reflector to diffuse the harsh sunlight, without which I wouldn't have been able to capture many of the beautiful shots. Thanks babe, love you! :)
These kids are so sweet...I just adore them!
